No Joy in Mudville: Corrupt Chicago Has Struck Out

Chicago comes in FOURTH out of four in the 2016 Olympics bid. 'Way to go, Obama, spending your political capital for nothing. Who are you going to blame for this one, champ? Maybe it will be Michael Jordan: “Michael Jordan didn’t show up,” said Margaret Johnson of Chicago. “His city asked him for help and he turned his back on us.” It's Michael Jordan's fault? This is comedy gold.

But those who voted for Obama--isn't this what they wanted? The United States is no longer an exceptional country--isn't that Obama's message? He's reinforced everywhere he's gone in the world that the days of the U.S. being "Number One" are over. It's over, baby, we're now officially a second or third-rate country. Isn't that what Obamabats wanted? It looks like we're going to have to get used to coming in third or fourth from now on, at least while Obama is POTUS.

Updating. . . Priceless. . . CNN anchor freaks out as Chicago is eliminated in the first round.

Update #2: Crowds in Daley Plaza react to the news. "Audible gasp heard" as Chicago is eliminated.

Update #3: The headlines are out already, this one from the Chicago Tribune blog:

Olympic-sized loss of political face for Obama and Daley

Update #4: Congratulations Rio, Olympic host for 2016.

Update #5: Gosh darn! Even Michelle's gold (get it--gold) dress didn't work. You don't even have to ask, what was she thinking? I think the smug little smirk on her face says it all.

The arrogant-in-your-faceness and apparent cluelessness of these Obama people is embarrassing. It's been reported in the Danish news that it was arrogance that did them in with the IOC. Ya think?

Update #6: Nitwits. This is, frankly, hilarious stupidity. Who do they blame? If you guessed BUSH, you got it right. Keep it up, you leftist numbskulls. You people got nothin'.

From the Chicago Sun-Times: Some Chicago officials say anti-American resentment likely played a role in Chicago's Olympic bid dying in the first round Friday. President Obama could not undo in one year the resentment against America that President Bush and others built up for years, they said.
